TRAINING STAY OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT – INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS AND SENSOR MATERIALS, Freiberg, Germany

INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS AND SENSOR MATERIALS, Freiberg, Germany: Starting from 1st May 2018, the young researcher Marija Prosheva from FTM in Skopje spent two months research and training stay at the institute of Electronics and sensor materials. During her research stay, she has been working on determination of the sensor properties of the following materials: G/MWCNT/P(MMA-co-BA-co-GMA) nanocomposites obtained by miniemulsion polymerization; rGO/ MWCNT/P(MMA-co-BA-co-GMA) obtained by miniemulsion polymerization and rGO/ MWCNT/P(MMA-co-BA-co-GMA) obtained by emulsion mixing. The nanocomposites were characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-rayPhotoelectronSpectroscopy (XPS). All of the samples were prepared during her four month research stay (September-December 2017) in Polymat, San Sebastian, Spain. TRAINING STAY OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT – POLYMAT, San Sebastian, Spain

POLYMAT, San Sebastian, Spain: Starting from 10th of April, 2018 the young researcher Ana Trajcheva from FTM in Skopje spent four months research and training stay at Polymat. During her stay she synthetized several nanocomposites via emulsion mixing and in-situ miniemulsion polymerization. The selected polymer system, P(MMA-co-BA-co-AA) and P(MMA-co-BA-co-HEMA) were reinforced with different weight % of graphene nanoribbons. The obtained nanocomposites were further characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), dynamical mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and tensile test measurements. TRAINING STAY OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT – ICPF, Prague, Czech Republic

ICPF, Prague, Czech Republic: Starting from 27th of March, 2018 the project researcher Monika Doneva from FTM, Macedonia spent 6 weeks research and training stay at ICPF, Prague. During her stay, she was working on pulsed laser deposition of graphene doped with palladium and platinum. The obtained deposits were examined by scanning electron microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and contact angle measurements.
